Patrick Faust
Originally from France, Patrick settled in Slovenia over 20 years ago, falling in love with this small country of a thousand faces. From the snow-capped peaks of the Julian Alps to the turquoise waters of the Soča River, passing through the medieval streets of Piran, Slovenia has become his second home.
With this unique ground-level experience, Patrick created e-Slovénie to share his discoveries with French-speaking travelers. Every article, every destination, every recommendation is the result of intimate knowledge of the country.
His expertise is recognised by travel industry professionals: Patrick is a Welcome Host for Comptoir des Voyages, one of France's leading tailor-made travel operators. Based in the Soča Valley, he welcomes and guides travellers through the region's hidden treasures.
Patrick has also shared his passion for Slovenia on French national television: in 2021 on Échappées Belles (France 5), and in 2025 in a feature report on the 1pm News (France 2).
Today, e-Slovénie goes further by becoming a platform connecting travelers with the best local travel agencies, carefully selected and verified by Patrick himself.
